Punta de Mita, Mexico, February 2010

From Monday, February 8th through Saturday, February 20th, CTB Teaching Artists will be just north of Puerta Vallarta, bringing a lot of energy to the sleepy little town of Punta Mita.  Thanks to the generosity of Argie and Oscar Tang, CTB brings its intensive two week program to the local primary school, and the local estudientes will dance their hearts out. 

This international effort is made possible with the help of PEACE, a local organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the local environment and culture.  The partnership formed with CTB for this program promotes not only a joyful experience in the arts for the local youth, but creates the foundation for a positive cultural exchange between CTB and the local community. Recent Past Residency:

Crested Butte and Gunnison, November 2009

From Monday, November 2 through Friday, November 20th, CTB Teaching Artists taught in-school dance and music classes and inspired hundreds of children at Crested Butte Community School and  Gunnson Community School.  The children had daily dance and music classes for three weeks, working towards creating  in-school shows about the extraordinary music and poetry of John Lennon.
