Jacob Lidard

Musician

Jacob Lidard has been a Music Director with Celebrate the Beat since 2014. He graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Piano and worked in the dance department as an accompanist for the entire Ballet program, gaining valuable experience for a future in Dance music.

Jacob began his musical studies at a very young age with a well known Peabody Conservatory Graduate, Joe Teter who instilled discipline and an appreciation for classical music. He continued the tradition of piano pedagogy as a private piano teacher and accompanist for choir, musical theatre and church services.

After University he moved out to Colorado to enjoy the outdoor sports and vibrant musical community the state is known for. Skiing has been a lifelong passion for Jacob, earning his stripes on the East Coast with a dream of moving West. Being able to live and work as a professional musician in Ski country has been nothing short of a blessing.

When he's not rocking out with Celebrate the Beat Dancers he's out in the Valley entertaining the locals and tourists alike playing in his local bands. Jacob is the house pianist at the Sonnenalp King's Club, a classic Bavarian style lounge with a piano bar in the Vail Village and travels around the state for private events, weddings and Celebrate the Beat programming and performances.

Musical styles from around the world drive his creativity and he works with his long-time musical colleagues of varying backgrounds to write, record and perform unique and original music including Cuban Jazz, Reggae, Latin Rock and Pop.
