Joslyn Sanchez

Teaching Artist

Joslyn aka “Miss Jojo” is an alumni of CTB and excited to continue on her journey with the program. Starting at the age of seven years old and dancing in school, afterschool, and every summer with the program until she was 14 years old. Celebrate the Beat definitely helped ignite a passion for the arts within her and supported her with many opportunities in her time with them.

During the pandemic in 2020 she reconnected with Celebrate the Beat and came back to start the Alumni Project for the 20th anniversary and danced virtually over zoom. From then on she continued her work with them in school, after school and during Pop Hop until the summer of 2023. Joslyn remains an artist and advocate for the arts and has lots of love towards creative movement and expression. She is currently a “Flow Artist”, her favorite prop to manipulate is a hula hoop and you might sometimes see her playing with fire! In September of 2024 Joslyn also received her 200 hours in Ashtanga Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow in Rishikesh, India.

Her favorite yoga poses are currently Humble Warrior and Wild Thing.
